In areas where true “Broadband ADSL” is not available and dialup is not fast enough we have an option known as ISDN, which is designed to meet the needs of both business and home users. An ISDN connection offers a connection at either 64K or 128K which is approximately 2x and 4x respectively faster than your 56K analogue modem.

In most cases you'll not only keep your existing telephone number, but also save time and money by transmitting data, video and images much faster than with analogue modems. There is no longer the need for separate lines for the telephone, fax and computer which is an obvious advantage for any business or home user.

64K ISDN Connections
Running a 64K ISDN Connection would involve utilizing a single channel of the Telstra ISDN Home or Business service, with the remaining channel available for use as a standard telephone or fax line. If you plan on running a 64K service only, then you can “upgrade” your current analogue telephone line to an ISDN Home service.

128K ISDN Connections
Running a 128K ISDN Connection would involve utilizing both channels of the ISDN Home service, with any telephone or fax services being run on a completely independent line that you would have installed separately.


Your business can choose from two ISDN speeds with generous data amounts included per month. EZBiz ISDN has a low once off setup fee of $149 which includes re-delegation of your existing domain name if required.

A component of the EZBiz ISDN solution is domain name hosting which allows for your business to have a unique email identity for all your staff. You may already have your own domain name which can be delegated for free as part of this service or we can register the domain name of your choice for a small additional fee.

EZBiz ISDN provides your business with 20 individual email accounts with unlimited email addresses. This is an invaluable part of your business because it allows your customers to contact all members of your organisation for immediate service or enquiries. It also increases the professional appearance of your organisation.

Static IP Address

We will include one Static IP Address for use with your dialup connection. Included with this you may also choose to run your own mail server for which we will setup SMTP mail rather than the 10 individual email accounts.

Web Site Hosting – www.yourbusinessname.com.au

The EZBiz ISDN solution also includes 50MB of webspace for the hosting of your business website. This generous allowance enables you to migrate your existing website over to this service or our in-house web design team can create a professional website for your specific needs starting from only $300. Unlike other web design companies you actually own the website after it has been created.

ISDN Hardware

In order for your EZBiz ISDN service to work you will need to purchase an ISDN modem or router for your end of the connection and this modem or router will need to support a protocol called Data over Voice (DoV). Adam Internet has fully tested the NETjet ISDN card, which we are able to offer to you at a competitive price. It is highly recommended that you consider an onsite visit especially if you are running a network at your business premises. All hardware includes a one-year guarantee and our full technical support.


NETjet ISDN Card $299 inc. GST
The Netjet is a PCI card that needs to be installed within your computer. For a single computer setup, you would simply install the card and connect it to your phone lines. For a network setup, you would need to install the NETjet within your network server and configure your Internet Sharing software accordingly.
