| 'A winery, an internet service provider and an environmental consultant - which each share the common thread of being owned and managed by a family - were acknowledged yesterday. They were the winners of the SOuth Australian Family Business of the Year Awards. Family Business SA's Chris Johnston said the three winning companies represented a good cross-section of the state's business community. "We're thrilled that the winning companies are all so different," he said. "It demonstrates that all nature of SA family businesses have the opportunity to ahieve family business best practice and, in doing so, flourish within this state and beyond." Delta Environmental Consulting won the award for best first generation family business. Services the company provides include monitoring programs for waterways and wetlands, revegetation projects, biodiversity surveys and carbon footprinting. Adam Internet, headed by Scott Hicks, won the best second generation family business. The proudly South Australian internet service provider has been established for more than 20 years and continues to compete with the major telecommunication firms on price and service. ...'
